Selfieville: Alive Museum Singapore

I can see how Alive Museum can be really popular to tourists and locals alike: it’s the best place to have selfies and groupies (or groufies, whatever the official term for a group ‘selfie’ photo is)! Forget about the whole 3D visual illusion concept or the amazing 3D art, think about opportunities to ‘act’ out being chased after by zombies or pissed on by a toy poodle or moonwalk like MJ.

Anyway, not to slag off the whole thing, we actually had a pretty decent time going through the museum until you reach a group of people taking ages to move on because they want to get that ‘perfect’ group shot or a couple asking you to move because you’re in the ‘frame’. Until you get past these types and you’re left alone to your own devices, then you can truly enjoy the experience. ๐Ÿ˜‰

So, what to expect in the museum?

Trick Art – Popular during the Baroque era, it’s the first part of the museum and it is actually pretty cool and we feel that there’s not enough of it. Below are just some samples these Trick Arts:

Look at this photo for 20 to 30 seconds…

Then stare at this photo… Look closely… What do you see?

I have got no clue what I should see in this white thing. But there is supposed to be something!

Yes! There’s fine boobies on display there, too. If that’s your thing. ๐Ÿ˜‰

And this is how Babs would look like, naked:

Let’s bring sexy back!

The next photo is in one of my favourite rooms in the whole of the museum. After that room, we encountered a traffic jam and some young lads shrieking over something really exciting and worth shrieking about. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have lost track of what I am trying to write here but yeah, basically, you’re going in to room after room featuring these arts which uses special 3D painting techniques using mechanical and digital technologies to create the ‘most fun and engaging illusionary museum in the world’.

Apart from Trick Art there’s Digital Art, Object Art, Experimental Art and Dark Room. Here are some things to expect in the museum without me revealing too much (unless you’ve googled it already, or have friends who’ve visited the museum and posted 300 photos of the museum!).
